The brief for this period property in Elm Park Road, N21 was to create a new floor that complemented the character and detailing of the existing Victorian tiles. Marmoleum 50 x 50mm tiles were selected in 3323 Black and 3267 Edelweiss, laid in a traditional checkerboard pattern to recreate the look and feel of the original flooring.
The installation required careful planning and precise fitting to achieve the authentic Victorian-inspired appearance. The tiles were laid by the experienced Russdales Flooring team, with particular attention given to maintaining the checkerboard alignment and ensuring the new floor worked seamlessly with the existing architectural features of the period property.
To complete the design, border RDB203 was cut to order by JDe-Bruyn Flooring Services, providing a bespoke perimeter detail specifically designed to match the existing Victorian tilework. The finished result combines traditional styling with the practical qualities of Marmoleum, creating a sympathetic and beautifully detailed floor for this N21 home.
