The homeowners chose Fibre Flooring’s Flatweave Classic Herringbone in the elegant Arbour colourway to create a sophisticated and durable stair runner. Known for its natural texture, timeless appearance, and exceptional durability, Fibre Flooring is a popular choice for busy family homes. The subtle herringbone pattern adds visual interest without overwhelming the space, making it an ideal option for enhancing both traditional and contemporary interiors.
For this project, our experienced in-house fitting team transformed the flooring into a bespoke runner covering the full hall, landing, and top staircase. Every section was carefully measured, cut, and tailored to ensure precise alignment of the herringbone pattern throughout the installation. Creating a stair runner requires meticulous attention to detail, particularly around stair nosings, landings, and transitions, where accuracy is essential for both appearance and longevity.
To complete the installation, the runner was finished with a Parma Powder taped edge, providing a refined contrast that beautifully complements the Arbour flooring. Decorative Jubilee stair rods in an antique brass finish were installed to enhance the traditional character of the staircase while adding a luxurious finishing touch. The combination of premium materials, expert craftsmanship, and carefully selected accessories has created a stunning focal point that will stand the test of time.
