For this North London home, the client selected Fibre Flooring’s Dapple herringbone carpet – a beautifully textured natural weave that brings warmth and character to high-traffic areas. The full-fit installation across the landings creates a seamless, luxurious feel, whilst the decision to craft a bespoke stair runner from the same material ensures continuity and allows the natural beauty of the staircase timber to remain visible.
At Russdales, every installation is carried out by our own in-house team of experienced fitters – never subcontracted. For this project, our craftsmen expertly measured, cut, and transformed the Fibre carpet into a precision-fitted stair runner, ensuring each tread and riser was perfectly aligned. Cutting and binding carpet to create runners requires skill and attention to detail; the margins must be exact, and the fabric edging applied with care to guarantee longevity and a flawless finish. Our team takes pride in treating every staircase as a bespoke project, hand-finishing each element to the highest standard.
To complement the natural tones of the Dapple herringbone, we applied a classic blue fabric edge (8456) – a refined contrast that frames the runner beautifully and adds a tailored, couture touch. The runner was secured with solid brass Premier threshold strips, chosen for their timeless elegance and durability. Brass fittings not only enhance the visual appeal but also provide a hard-wearing, polished finish that will age gracefully. Every accessory was carefully selected to elevate the overall aesthetic and ensure the installation stands the test of time.
