For this Enfield property, the client selected a Fibre Flooring herringbone carpet in the contemporary shade Zinc — a refined neutral that brings subtle texture and depth while remaining effortlessly timeless. The classic herringbone weave adds structure and character, making it an ideal choice for a staircase where pattern and durability are equally important. As with all Russdales projects across North London, the installation was completed by our in-house fitting team. The carpet was carefully cut and tailored into a bespoke stair runner, shaped precisely to follow each tread and riser for a seamless, symmetrical finish. Our team paid close attention to pattern alignment and edge consistency, ensuring the herringbone design flowed perfectly from top to bottom — a detail that truly elevates the final result.
To complete the look, we added a fabric edge binding in Cactus, creating a subtle contrast that frames the runner beautifully while protecting the edges for long-term wear. Antique brass Jubilee stair rods were installed to add a touch of heritage elegance and to secure the runner neatly in place, giving the staircase a polished, high-end finish that complements the home’s character.
