For this North London home, we worked with a refined flatweave carpet from Lewis Abbott in a classic herringbone design, finished in the Marble colourway. This subtle, textured pattern is perfect for adding understated elegance while maintaining a contemporary feel. Flatweave carpets are particularly well-suited for stair runners, offering durability and a neat, tailored appearance that complements both modern and traditional interiors.
Our expert in-house team carefully cut the carpet to create a fully bespoke stair runner, ensuring a precise fit throughout. Each section was measured and shaped to follow the staircase perfectly, delivering a clean and symmetrical finish. The herringbone pattern was aligned with care to maintain consistency across every step, showcasing the attention to detail Russdales is known for.
To elevate the final look, the runner was finished with a 50mm black fabric taped edge, creating a sharp contrast against the Marble tone. This bold border not only enhances the visual impact but also reinforces the edges for long-lasting performance. The combination of texture, pattern, and detailing results in a staircase that is both practical and beautifully styled.
